	San Carlos Cathedral, built in 1790, is one of many examples of Spanish architecture in our city of Monterey. Another is the Carmel Mission, built by the same architect.  It is one of the attractions of Monterey.  In a very busy world, it is an oasis of peace.  Let us show them all to you.
You could grow garden herbs outside for your kitchen garden, but the Spanish and Mexicans also loved beauty. Some of the gardens are open to the public daily, but a fair number of these lovely gardens are hidden.  We know where they are.  Would you like to see them?
